Certified Nursing Assistants are in-demand, and the career provides exciting job variety. The need for new CNAs has risen recently, and that trend will continue. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of CNAs is expected to grow 11% from 2016-2026. This is faster than the average 7% of all occupations. Demographic shifts also mean an increased need for CNAs. By 2060, the number of Americans over age 65 will more than double from the current 46 million, and an aging population demands additional healthcare providers.

As a CNA, you can choose the facility and the kind of patient you’ll work with every day. For example, you might work in any of these environments: medical clinics, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, nursing and retirement facilities, and in-home support services. You might also choose your concentration—focus on pediatric care, or work in geriatrics, for example. A Nurse Assistant Certification is also a strong foundation for pursuit of further degrees in the nursing profession. No matter how your career journey unfolds, Summit wants to be by your side. Every student’s climb is different, but at Summit you’ll find the support you need to elevate your career.
