Certified Nursing Assistant
Certified Nursing Assistants Do More Than Just Make a Living: They Make a Difference
Program Overview
Take Control of Your Future with Training as a Certified Nursing Assistant
An effective healthcare team is made up of more than just doctors and nurses. Certified nursing assistants (CNAs) play an essential role on any healthcare team by providing critical support and patient care under the direction of a licensed RN. That may explain why the demand for qualified CNAs is on the rise and expected to continue to grow much faster than the average.
What Certified Nursing Assistants Do
As a certified nursing assistant, your daily tasks may include:
- Listening to and making note of the health concerns of your patients and ensuring that information is passed onto the supervising nurse
- Cleaning and bathing patients and helping them dress
- Measuring patients’ vital signs, including blood pressure and temperature
- Turning and repositioning patients in their beds, as well as transferring them in beds and wheelchairs
