Alumni Spotlight – Kathleen Hernandez

Kathleen Hernandez (LVN Student) has always been a people’s person, so she knew the Licensed Vocational Nurse program at Summit College was the right program for her!

I chose Summit College because a lot of people that I know have actually graduated from here and I’ve heard amazing and wonderful things about all of the instructors. They all play a different part. They see what you’re weak in and give you that strength to move up. I chose the Licensed Vocational Nursing program because I have always been a people person. I’ve always wanted to make a difference since I was little. I was more drawn into it because it’s a shorter program. It’s literally like a whole year. And for me, it just worked well because I want to start. I want to get my hands wet, and it’s been amazing. Elevate your future at Sumner College.

Since our founding in 1991, Summit College has provided affordable, quality education to students seeking new paths. We began with one campus in Colton, California, which was quickly approved by the Bureau of Private Post Education. Then, just three years later, in 1994, we received national accreditation from the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (or ACCET). Our three accredited locations give you more options as you seek to elevate your career.
