Vocational College seeking Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative support to ensure effective HR delivery by providing recruitment support and assistance to on-site candidates during the application and interview process, work collaboratively with employees, leaders and HR staff to ensure effective and efficient HR-employee services. Ensures the appropriate receipt and distribution of information to various staff, Federal, State and local agencies; Handles incoming internal and external inquiries, responds or refers issues to the HR Coordinator in a timely and courteous manner. Ensures appropriate personnel record management in compliance with all legal and regulatory standards and Human Resources policies. Assists with the pre-employment and new hire process; ensures appropriate documentation in compliance with established standards. Provides assistance and support in the development and delivery of employee communication and supports delivery of efficient HR services by ensuring appropriate materials and supplies are maintained within the department. General knowledge of employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organizational development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred. Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs. Previous experience with Payroll Systems (ADP), Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping. Effective oral and written communication. Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills. Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality. Excellent organizational skills.
